Experience the descent of Absalon canyon in Martinique with Madacanyon!
Located in the middle of the jungle, the Absalon canyon is one of the six initiation canyons in Martinique. After a briefing on the basic rules of canyoning and a short abseiling session, you will go for a 3 hours activity full of thrills. Mixing water and pedestrian excursions, jumps and abseils in complete autonomy on waterfalls up to 17 meters, the canyon of Absalon in Martinique is ideal to discover canyoning!
Within breathtaking landscapes, the descent of the canyon will allow you to discover a natural environment cut from the world through a fauna and a flora endemic to Martinique, such as the mygale matoutou cliff.

- Rendezvous at the old spa of Absalon, Qur Absalon, Fort-de-France, Martinique.
- Briefing by your instructor to make you aware of the basic rules of canyoning.
- Set up of the equipment by your instructor.
- Abseiling training session on the parking lot of the old Absalon spa.
- Approach walk to reach the canyon.
- Succession of aquatic and pedestrian hikes, abseils, jumps (not compulsory), slides and de-escalation.
- Walk back to the parking lot.
- Tasting of planteur.
It is imperative to be able to swim and to be in good physical condition to do this activity.
Special terms
The activity is subject to the weather and can be cancelled by the instructor in case of risk.
You must be at least 1.30 m tall to do this activity.
Please inform your guide of any medical problems so that an alternative can be found.
