About the activity
Completing a diving course is essential if you want to enjoy exploration dives that are longer and deeper than a simple introductory dive. To make your diving training in Martinique truly unforgettable, the instructors from ATAO Plongée invite you aboard their catamaran, departing from Grande Anse d’Arlet Bay, to train at some of the most beautiful dive sites in the south-west of the island: Pointe Lézarde and Anse Dufour.
Combining theory and practical sessions, the Level 1 diving course is delivered directly on board the catamaran in Les Anses-d’Arlet. This training does not require any prior introductory dive and includes four or five training dives spread over two days, allowing you to dive to depths of up to 20 metres under the supervision of a dive leader.
More than just a diving course, this all-inclusive experience aboard a catamaran gives you the chance to enjoy the comfort of the boat, go snorkelling, try stand-up paddleboarding and even have lunch on board throughout the three-day programme. Organised in small groups of 14 participants maximum, this diving course in Les Anses-d’Arlet offers moments of sharing and enjoyment with fellow divers, providing a true immersion into the diving community and the marine world.
The course takes place aboard a catamaran as part of an eco-responsible approach, with reduced fuel consumption, the use of renewable energy on board, and active involvement in marine biodiversity awareness initiatives. It also incorporates an educational perspective on marine life, with explanations of the species you encounter — turtles, fish, and more — and their behaviours, directly tied to your diving practice.
If you’re looking to train as a diver in Martinique while enjoying a truly unique experience, this Level 1 diving course on board a catamaran in Les Anses-d’Arlet is made for you!
