Activity Snapshot
Activity description
From the Diamond Rock to the Pearl Rock, via the Nahoon wreck near Grande Anse, go on an exploration dive with a state-certified instructor in Martinique!
The Caribbean Sea offers the ideal conditions to explore the underwater world: warm and clear water, important biodiversity, etc., it is therefore a privileged place to practice diving! Alpha Plongée Martinique organises exploration dives all year round on the Caribbean coast of Martinique, starting from Anses-d'Arlet.
The dives take place every day at 7 am, 10 am or 2 pm on the sites of the Grande Anse d'Arlet Bay. Its reefs are suitable for both beginners and experienced divers. In addition to these 3 daily dives, the center also organises dives at Rocher du Diamant and Saint-Pierre at 7 am, as well as night dives at 6 pm.
The Caribbean Sea has clear water all year round, ranging from 26°C to 30°C. Furthermore, on the southwest coast of Martinique, at Grande Anse d'Arlet, there is no coral reef, which offers a wide variety of depths and landforms, all accessible from the anchorages along the coast.
The reefs of the bay are very rich and colourful. There is an abundance of coral and sponge fauna, as well as marine animals that have a very simple underwater lifestyle. You can see angelfish, octopus, turtles, groupers, lobsters, barracudas, moray eels and more!
- You will take 20 minutes to equip yourself with the scuba diving gear and then, you will go to the diving spot by boat
- You will stay in the diving spot during 1.25 to 1.5 hours (approx. 40 minutes diving depending on your level)
