Activity description

Explore stunning sights in beautiful Western Norway on this fun-filled fjord and Bøyabreen glacier boat tour from Voss. Visit the medieval Hopperstad Stave Church, cruise in the Fjærlandsfjord, experience the Bøyabreen Glacier, and witness the majesty of the Tvindefossen Waterfall!

This tour begins in Voss, a town situated in the heart of Norway, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes including mountains, fjords, and lakes. From Voss, you'll visit two charming villages, Vik and Fjærland!

Your 10-hour adventure begins at the starting point in Voss, where you'll be greeted by your experienced guide and driver. You and your group will set off towards the village of Vik and its stunning mountainous landscapes. Along the way, you'll stop at the Storesvingen viewpoint, known for its incredible panoramic vistas. Next, you'll visit the historic Hopperstad Stave Church with a local guide. Constructed in 1130, it is one of the oldest stave churches in existence.

Then, you'll arrive at Vik Harbour, where you'll board a boat for a 2-hour fjord cruise to the picturesque village of Fjærland. You'll cross over Sognefjorden, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. Take in the breathtaking views while enjoying a delicious lunch onboard (not included in the ticket price). When you arrive at Fjærland, you have some free time to explore this charming village. You can join a guided tour of the Glacier Museum and Bøyabreen Glacier, one of the many arms of the vast Jostedalsbreen Glacier, which is the largest glacier in mainland Europe.

After your 2-hour stop in Fjærland, you'll board the boat and head back to Vik. Then, you'll take a minibus to the magnificent Tvindefossen Waterfall, one of the most famous and easily accessible waterfalls in the country. The waterfall cascades from a height of approximately 110 metres (361 feet) down into the valley below, creating a mesmerising display of water rushing over rugged cliffs and rocky terrain. After visiting the waterfall, you'll return to the starting point in Voss.
