Course of events
You should plan to spend between 3 to 4 hours on this activity, with a 45 to 50-minute dive:
- Arrival at the Diving Centre in Ballstad at least 5 minutes before your departure time
- Meet the Lofoten Diving team
- Receive your scuba diving equipment (tank, suit, mask, weight belt, gloves, hood, and fins)
- 45 to 60-minute welcome, safety, and itinerary briefing
- 15 to 20-minute RIB boat ride to the chosen dive spot
- 45 to 50-minute Arctic dive!
- Return to the boat
- 15 to 20-minute boat ride back to Ballstad
- Change out of the gear and return it
- Debrief with your instructor over a warm cup of coffee or tea and end of the activity
Activity requirements
Please note that all participants must have their PADI Open Water diving certificate or equivalent to take part in this activity. Please indicate your most recent diving qualification when booking.
In addition, all participants must have the drysuit qualification to dive with a drysuit. If you do not have this qualification, you can use one of Lofoten Diving's semi-dry suits (7 mm neopran suits).
Please arrive at the meeting point at least 5 minutes before your departure time as indicated in the itinerary.
Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.
