The mythical Svalbard Archipelago is located in the Arctic Ocean, between Norway and the North Pole. Famed for its pristine Arctic wilderness, majestic mountains and glaciers as well as its diverse wildlife species, Svalbard is a popular destination for explorers who want to immerse themselves in the Arctic! During the winter months, Svalbard experiences what is referred to as the Polar Night, a period of continuous darkness which makes for excellent conditions for viewing the breathtaking natural phenomenon of the Northern Lights. Snowmobiling in Svalbard is an amazing way to experience the spectacular Aurora Borealis while making lifelong memories!
Your snowmobiling in Svalbard adventure begins after being picked up from your accommodations in Longyearbyen (please specify when booking). After you and your group (a maximum of 30 people) arrive at the base, you'll be greeted by your friendly and knowledgeable instructor who will give a safety and itinerary briefing along with your gear, which includes a thermal suit, boots, mittens, goggles, a balaclava, and a helmet. Once you've received an introduction to snowmobiling and snowmobile driving techniques, the fun starts! You'll set off into the Polar Night towards Advent Valley, taking in the spectacular snow-covered Arctic landscapes as you go, a thrill like none other!

Don't forget your camera! Upon your arrival at Advent Lodge, you'll be treated to delicious snacks and hot drinks around a cosy indoor fire.
