If you are looking for a unique adventure in Tromsø, look no further! Immerse yourself in Norwegian nature and get a taste of Norway's most ancient tradition, hunting with bows and arrows on the mesmerizing island of Kvaløya, situated northwest of Tromsø!
Your adventure begins with a pickup from the city center, in Tromsø heading towards the splendid island of Kvaløya, a 25-minute drive overlooking spectacular landscapes. Upon arrival, your certified guide will give you your very own bow followed by an introductory archery course, special techniques, posture, and safety rules.
After you've familiarized yourself with the bow, and shot your first arrows at close-ranged targets, the hike begins! Your guide has placed various realistic animal figures which will be your targets for the next 3 hours.
You will follow a circular path, and aim at the figures, set in the woods, swamps, hills, and rivers. As the hike is circular, you will end up back at the start, and you will have a lot of breaks in-between to sit down and rest as well. You will spot the prey, silently approach it and loose the winning arrow as you collect your own points. At the end of the adventure, your scores will be celebrated!

- No previous experience is needed to participate, however, participants need to be physically fit as the hike includes running too.
- Your guide will ask you to sign a responsibility disclaimer before starting the activity.
- As there are bows and arrows involved, you are kindly asked to follow all the important safety rules by your guide. Failing to do so, might exclude participants from the excursion.
Special terms
- This activity is not affected by rain as it is in the wilderness, and it is recommended to bring wool socks and rain clothes in such cases.
- It is important to note that no animals are involved during the hunt, only realistic animal figures.
- Depending on the wishes of the group, the hike can be adjusted to a shorter duration if needed.
