Activity description

Calling all adrenaline enthusiasts! Navigate the Raundalen River in a one-person packraft on this fun-filled, guided excursion in Voss. Welcoming adventurers ages 10 and up.

The scenic town and municipality of Voss is located in western Norway and is known for its majestic mountains and fjords as well as its lakes and rivers. Since the renowned Raundalen River flows through Voss, it's an ideal locale to experience the thrill of whitewater river packrafting! Perfect for both beginner and experienced packrafters alike, you can choose between 3-hour and 6-hour excursion options.

Your adventure packrafting in Voss begins at the meeting point. Upon your arrival, you'll be greeted by your qualified and seasoned instructor who will give you your equipment, which includes a wet/dry suit, a helmet, and a life jacket. After you and your group (a maximum of 20 participants) have received a safety and itinerary briefing, you'll set off to the departure point. There, your instructor will provide an introduction to packrafting and paddling techniques. Once everyone feels comfortable practising in the shallow water with the instructor, the fun starts!

You'll start paddling the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the canyon. While parts of the Raundalen River are calm, others offer excitement as you navigate the whitewater. Throughout the excursion packrafting in Voss, your instructor will ensure your safety and security at all times. On the longer tour, the guides will share information on the history and geology of the Raundalen River, making your packrafting experience educational and enjoyable.
