On this unique excursion, you'll not only learn how to catch crabs, fish, and shrimp but you will also enjoy creating fresh and delectable seafood dishes, Norwegian-style. With the help of your local guide, you'll be fishing and cooking like a professional, while also having a great time!
Upon your arrival at the Bergen Tourist Office, you'll be greeted by your knowledgeable guide and depart for the 40-minute drive to Syltoy in Oygarden. Upon arrival, you will receive all of the necessary clothing and a life jacket, followed by a safety briefing. There, you'll board an 8.5-meter boat (28 feet) and the adventure begins! Over the course of 1.5 hours, you'll cast your line and try your luck fishing. But since Norway's coastline has an abundant presence of brown crabs and mackerel, the odds are definitely in your favour!
With your bounty of the sea, your Captain will take you back to shore, where you'll help in the preparation of your feast, which could include, a fish or shrimp appetizer, followed by fish soup, boiled crabs, or BBQed mackerel filets. Fresh seafood prepared with Norwegian flair, paired with local apple cider might just be the most delicious meal you'll ever have!
