The tandem paragliding flight over the Piton Maïdo is an exceptional flight with a takeoff at 2,200 meters of altitude in front of the Piton des Neiges, on the rampart of the Cirque de Mafate. The aerology is often present there and the scenery is breathtaking along the steep walls of the cirque.

Before takeoff, your instructor will orient you and quickly brief you on the course of the flight. Once you are about to take off, below the Belvedere, you launch with your instructor to gain speed and inflate your glider for a smooth takeoff.

During the flight, you will fly over the rampart that runs along the Cirque de Mafate, between the Grand Bénare and the rivière des Galets. You will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the cirque and the peaks of the island: Gros Morne, Roche Ecrite and Dimitile, which you may be lucky enough to approach!

During more than 40 minutes, fly in a dream landscape classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site! The return will be either towards Saint-Paul for a magnificent landing on the beach of the Bay of Saint-Paul, or towards Saint-Leu for a landing at the Pointe des Châteaux (more than 15 km of descent).
