A day's motorbike tour to Piton de la Fournaise with a lunch break in an authentic Creole restaurant on Réunion Island.

Course of events
Please allow a full day for this excursion.
- Meet the team at the agency.
- Briefing on the bikes and the day's itinerary (30 minutes).
- You will leave early to avoid traffic jams and have a clear sky to admire the viewpoints.
- From Sainte-Marie, you'll head east and take the national road as far as Saint-Benoît to start the magnificent route des plaines and its verdant scenery.
- You'll continue on to the village of Bourg-Murat for a coffee break.
- After this initial immersion, you'll head for the Piton de la Fournaise crater.
- Lunch will be taken at the restaurant "l'Entracte" in the town of La Petite-Ile (all-you-can-eat traditional wood-fired cooking in a charming Creole house).
- In the afternoon, you will return via the roads of the Sud Sauvage to visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the island and the eastern slopes of the volcano before returning to the agency.
Activity requirements
An A or A2 motorbike licence is required to take part in this tour.
Before departure, you'll need to leave a deposit in the form of a bank imprint of between €2,000 and €2,800, depending on the model of motorbike you choose.
A minimum of 2 participants is required for the activity to take place.
Special terms
Seniors, pregnant women and people with mental/psychic/cognitive or motor disabilities are not allowed to take part in this activity.
The tour is only on road or track (no big off-road).
The choice of motorbike is made immediately after the tour has been booked. The following models are available with an A2 licence: YAMAHA MT07, YAMAHA TENERE 700, BMW F900XR, KTM 790 ADVENTURE.
With an A licence: BMW R1300GS, BMW R1250GS, KTM 890 SMT, YAMAHA TRACER 9 GT, MT09 SP.
Pets are not allowed to take part in this activity.

Piton de la Fournaise is one of the most visited sites on Réunion Island. And for good reason! Rising to 2,631 m, this volcano is one of the most active in the world and is also a must for hikers on Reunion Island. Today, however, we invite you to discover it by motorbike, so you can get your adrenaline pumping in an exceptional setting!
Your motorbike trip to Piton de la Fournaise starts in Sainte-Maire early in the morning. At the agency, you'll meet your guide for the day, who will present the itinerary and the motorbike models available. Then it's off on your motorbike tour of Réunion! You'll start by taking the national road to Saint-Benoît, before heading out onto the verdant route des plaines. You'll continue on to the village of Bourg-Murat, a village on the plateau of the Plaine de Cafres, where you'll enjoy a coffee break.
After this well-deserved break, you'll set off again in the direction of the Piton de la Fournaise crater. You'll stop again, this time in the town of La Petite-Ile, for lunch. Your guide will then take you to a traditional Creole restaurant serving all-you-can-eat wood-fired dishes. Your motorbike tour of Piton de la Fournaise will then resume with a return to the starting point via the roads of the Sud Sauvage. Before heading back, you'll visit one of Réunion's most beautiful waterfalls and then the eastern slopes of the volcano.
