Culminating at 2 632 meters of altitude, it is a still active volcano whose environment offers incredible landscapes: the Plaine des Sables is a perfect example with its reddish rocks and its volcanic sand that it is highly recommended to cross with an all-terrain vehicle like the quad!
For this purpose, Bourbon Excursions offers you to rent easy to use quads with which you can go for 3 hours at the foot of the Piton de la Fournaise. The guides will give you an itinerary to follow which will offer you the opportunity to cross the forest of the volcano, as well as the famous Plaine des Sables in total autonomy. By renting a quad bike at Piton de la Fournaise, you are sure to get a lot of crazy sensations while riding on the atypical ground of the Plaine des Sables!

- Meeting with the agent on the parking lot of the gas station 172-184 Rue Alfred Lacroix in Le Tampon, administrative part (rental documents, deposit, etc.)
- Briefing on the safety rules and attitudes to adopt when using the quad
- Departure for 3 hours of quad biking on a route given by the agent on the site of Piton de la Fournaise
- Return to the starting point before 7 pm
Activity requirements
To have a driving license B or B1 (car), OR a license A1, A2, A3 or A (two wheels) obtained before 2013 to drive the quad.
Minimum driver age : 21 years old
Minimum passenger height: 1m40
Special terms
A deposit per rented quad (not cashed) will be requested in the name(s) and surname(s) of the driver: 750€ by cheque or cash.
The passenger helmet is not included in the price (10€ to be paid extra on site if you do not have your own helmet).
