Discover the great white shark capital of the world, located in beautiful Gansbaai, South Africa, for a close encounter with nature's most awesome creatures! Have you always wanted to come into close contact with one of the ocean's largest predators? Then, this unforgettable cage diving experience is just for you!
After meeting your experienced and knowledgeable guides at Cape Shark Adventures, you'll be treated to a light lunch and refreshments before boarding the Barracuda at Kleinbaai Harbour and setting out into the open waters! Once your guides have gone through all of the safety protocols, you'll put on your wet suit, booties, and mask. Then the real adventure begins! You'll get into the water with only the sturdy bars of a cage separating you from the sharks!
While great white sharks roam the waters of Gansbaai, the bronze whaler shark (also known as the copper shark) is one of the most common sharks observed on the trip. After spending hours out on the ocean with the sun on your face and the fresh air, you'll head back to the meeting point and enjoy warm soup, bread, and refreshments, as well as a warm shower at their facilities. A perfect way to end a perfect day!

Activity requirements
Please note that due to variable weather conditions and shark activity, diving may not always be possible and is therefore not guaranteed.
Itineraries and collection times are dependent on tides, weather conditions, and the number of scheduled tours for a particular day. Exact collection times are therefore only available after 16h00 the day before and may vary between 04h30 and 11h30.
Children 5 and up are welcome to join the excursion but must be at least 12 years old and 1 meter (3.2 feet) tall to go into the cage.
In addition, participants cannot exceed 150 kg (330 pounds) for this activity.
Cape Shark Adventures takes videos of every dive, the link is uploaded 24-48 hours afterward and can be purchased for R300.00.
Pick up and drop off is available for an extra fee of R750/ person.
