If you're in the province of Barcelona or Girona and you're looking to escape the city and swim in beaches where nature is the main protagonist, the Costa Brava, in the north-east of Catalonia, where you'll find some of the best coves in the whole of the Mediterranean, is your destination!
Barcelona Experiences offers you a kayak excursion along the coves and beaches of the Costa Brava. The excursion starts in Barcelona, in front of the Casino de Barcelona, where you'll meet your instructor. From there he will take you to the Costa Brava, in a minibus or in a van depending on whether you are a large or small group. Once you get there, the adventure begins! You'll be given your kayaks and life jackets and after a brief introduction on how to use the kayak and safety rules... Let's paddle! You will paddle along some of the beaches and coves of Sant Feliu de Guixols, S'Agaró and surroundings, led by your guide, making stops for swimming and snorkelling. The kayak tour lasts 2 hours and a half.
Then you will return to the beach from where you set off. You will be able to recharge your energy and strength by having one of the snacks provided by your instructor. Finally you will have some free time to swim, snorkel or sunbathe before returning to Barcelona.
Kayaking is a paddling sport, a variant of canoeing and quite simple technique, so no previous experience is required, but it is essential to know how to swim. In addition, you will be accompanied throughout the tour by a guide professionally certified by the Spanish Sports Association and the tour includes full injury insurance, so there is nothing to worry about. Excursions Barcelona uses Rotomod kayaks, sit-on-top kayaks, which guarantees a safe and fun experience. They also have both tandem models if you want to go with someone else and single kayaks.
