Practical information

Course of events

10.30 AM - 11.00 AM: Meeting
If you are staying in the village we will meet at our office. If you are coming from outside we will meet at the petrol station at the entrance to the village. From there we will drive by caravan to the reservoir.
The journey by car takes about 15 minutes. At the reservoir there is parking for vehicles.
If you need to use the changing rooms and toilets you will have to come a little bit in advance.

11.00 AM - 11.30 PM: Workshop
Before entering the water, you will be given your personal equipment consisting of lifejacket and paddle and a mini-course on how to use the equipment as well as a safety talk by the guide.

11.30 AM - 1.30 PM: Route around the reservoir
In group and under the supervision of the guide, we will walk through beautiful corners of the reservoir, we can play in the water, jump from some rocks,...

1.30 AM - 2.00 PM: Return to Montanejos
Once the route is finished, we will return the material and we will go back to the village by caravan. If you need to use our changing rooms, showers and toilets, just let us know.

Activity requirements

All participants must know how to swim.

All children must be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times.

Special terms

*We need to know your height and weight to calculate the size of the kayak waistcoats. In the case of children under 10 years old, only the age.

Our Kayaks are Doubles, Triples (two adults and one child under 8 years old) and Quadruples (two adults and two children under 8 years old or three adults), ideal for families. In the case of an odd-numbered group, we can include single kayaks, depending on availability.

The Arenoso reservoir is a place of great natural beauty. Its calm waters allow us to navigate with recreational kayaks, both single, double and family kayaks. An ideal activity for families with children from 5 years old.

For 2 hours you will be paddling a kayak in the Arenoso Reservoir. This reservoir is located 3km from Montanejos and has a capacity of up to 130hm3. The crystal clear waters of the reservoir is a safe place to do the activity and enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery.

Before starting the activity the guide will give you instructions on how the kayak works and how to paddle. He will also give you an explanation of the safety protocols, equipping you with all the necessary material.
