Embark on an exciting dog sledding day trip in the wonderlands of Oinakka in the Swedish Lapland, starting from Abisko. Sit back, relax, and admire the captivating surroundings!
This is the perfect trip for group of friends and families who wish to make the most of their time during their stay in Abisko. An experienced musher will take you on an unforgettable journey outside of Kiruna with the help of an energetic team of huskies.
Your adventure starts with a pick up from your hotel in Abisko or Björkliden, followed by a 2-hour scenic drive towards the husky camp near Kiruna (could be 1,5hours depending on the snow conditions) Once at the kennel, your instructors will provide you with some safety briefing before they take you out to meet your new furry friends! Then it is time to gear up and set off on an unforgettable adventure!
Controlled by an experienced musher an amazing team of huskies will take you on a journey through the snowy landscapes of Oinakka, just outside of Kiruna, and near the world's original Icehotel. The sled accommodates up to four people, ideal for those who wish to share the experience with their loved ones! The circuit is approximately 10 - 12 kilometers long riding along the Arctic wilderness in the magical Swedish Lapland!
Halfway through the trip, you will stop in a remote wilderness camp to rest the dogs, and relax. Your guide will light up the fire and prepare some warm beverages for you, accompanied by a delicious Fika. This is the perfect time to cuddle with the huskies and pose for some pictures while taking in the incredible scenery! Once you've recharged, it is time to hop back on the sled and continue the adventure!
Your guide will finally lead the way to the kennel, where you will cuddle one last time the huskies, and say your final goodbye before setting off for the ride back to your hotel. What a great way to end this exciting trip!

- This activity takes place in the village of Oinakka, near Kiruna. Round trip transportation from Abisko & Björkliden is included.
- The actual time on the sled is approximately 60 minutes but can be slightly shorter or longer depending on the snow conditions.
- Each sled accommodates up to 4 people. It is possible that you may need to share the sled with other participants.

*Kindly note that lunch is not included in this trip, and it is highly recommended that you bring a packed lunch with you (The trip is approximately 7-hours long)
