Night Sky Snowmobiling Tour from Abisko

Enjoy an evening snowmobiling under the starry Arctic sky and try your luck in hunting down the infamous Northern Lights! This 2-hour tour will take you out of the city and around the whole backcountry of Björliden and Abisko, around lake Tornesträk, and up above the treeline for an optimized search for the aurora.

With a maximum of 8 people per tour, this experience remains intimate, allowing for a more personal rapport with the guide. We also restrict the number of children to a maximum of 1 per adult.

At the beginning of the tour, the guide will provide you with all the equipment necessary to drive the snowmobile and to keep you safe and warm. They will then show you how to drive your snowmobile, as well as some signaling gestures. 

Once everyone is ready, you will set off into the night on your tour. The precise route will be decided depending on the weather, wind, and aurora forecast. Enjoy gliding through the snow in near-total darkness, as your headlights light the path ahead of you. Along the way, you will take a break to enjoy sweet snacks and hot drinks around a crackling fire. But don't forget to look above, the Arctic serves some of the brightest and most beautiful night skies in the world. With some luck, you'll witness the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights! 

However, since it is a natural phenomenon, we cannot guarantee its appearance during the activity. But since the night will still be young when we return to town, your guide will make sure to let you know where they are most likely to appear, so you can continue your search later!
