Activity description
Enjoy a 2-hour snowmobiling adventure outside Abisko for a chance to take in views over the snowy valleys of the Arctic. If you're short on time, this is the ideal activity to get you straight out of the city and into nature aboard a thrilling snowmobiling ride.
With a maximum of 8 people per tour, this experience remains intimate, allowing for a more personal rapport with the guide.
Before departure, the guide will provide you with all the equipment necessary to drive the snowmobile and keep you safe and warm. They will then show you how to drive your snowmobile, as well as some signaling gestures to keep the group safe along the way. Children will be pulled in a sled behind the guide, safe and warm.
Once everyone is ready, you will set off into the night on your tour. The route will take you uphill, across frozen lakes, and in the direction of some impressive viewpoints. Among them will be a panoramic view of Čuonjávággi valley, the legendary gateway to Lapland. On the way, you will take a break to enjoy a traditional Swedish Fika and warm up with a hot drink. Take in the beauty of Swedish Lapland from above, before setting back off into the snow.
Please be ready at your pick-up location 30 minutes before the start of the activity.
We can pick-up from any location in Abisko or Björkliden.
Activity requirements
Driver's license is compulsory for snowmobiling.
Special terms
In case of damage to a snowmobile and its accessories, you may be liable to pay up to SEK 8,000 in insurance deductible per damaged snowmobile.
If Outback Abiso deems it possible that the damage can be repaired by us, the cost of the damaged part and the work for this will be paid by the person who caused the damage at a cost lower than the previously mentioned SEK 8,000.
