Activity requirements
To drive a snowmobile, you must be at least 16 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and be tall enough to reach the handlebars and footrests of the snowmobile. Please bring a physical copy of your driver's license to the activity.
All snowmobile drivers must be 100% sober to participate in this activity.
Being in relatively good physical condition is required to take part in this activity.
A minimum of 4 participants is necessary to run this activity. If this requirement is not fulfilled, your instructor will try to reschedule your activity or provide a full refund.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Special terms
Children or participants who do not fulfil the requirements to ride a snowmobile can ride along in a snowmobile-pulled sled.
A snowmobile can carry up to 2 people (Driver + Passenger). If you would like to drive a snowmobile on your own, you should choose ONE 'Driver' ticket, and if you want to drive with a partner, you should choose ONE 'Participant' ticket each.
Your instructor includes thermal suits in the activity. However, if you need one, you need to reserve it in advance. Please contact your instructor once your reservation is ready to reserve your size (S to XL)
This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people.
Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity depend on weather conditions. Due to unforeseen meteorological occurrences, your itinerary might be shorter or take a different path than usual for your safety.

Located near the Norwegian border, Klimpfjäll is a small village in the Vilhelmina Municipality of Sweden. A former mining village, Klimpfjäll is now a recognised tourist destination, especially for sports that need long expanses of snowy landscapes, such as snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, and, of course, snowmobiling.
On the day of your snowmobile excursion from Klimpfjäll, you'll need to arrive at the meeting point near the city. There, you'll meet your expert Klimpfjäll Explorer instructor, who will give you a warm welcome. Next, they will distribute the thermal overalls and helmets, and let you get ready. Thermal overalls are available in sizes S to XL. If you need one, please contact your instructor to reserve your size. Once you're all geared up, your instructor will teach you how to drive a snowmobile and give you some safety recommendations to avoid any mishaps.
When everyone is prepared, it's time to go! You'll accelerate through the snow and enjoy the gorgeous frozen landscapes of the Swedish mountains, lakes and forests. Younger children will be safely tucked in a sled pulled by the instructor's snowmobile, while the rest of the group enjoys the thrill of driving fast over the snow. Midway through the excursion, you'll make a stop to enjoy a delicious fika, which will include a hot drink and a sweet treat, before embarking on a scenic return drive toward the original meeting point of the excursion.
Keep in mind that this wonderful 3-hour snowmobile excursion from Klimpfjäll will take place during the Nordic winter, when temperatures can be as low as -15 degrees Celsius. You should come prepared with good winter gear to keep you safe and warm throughout the experience. Wool or thermal under layers and wind and waterproof outerwear are recommended, as well as waterproof gloves, a scarf, a hat, and anything else you might need (extra layers, medication, etc.) to spend a safe and fun moment out in the Swedish landscapes.
