Denia: What to do when you get there?

In south-eastern Spain, Dénia is a city located less than 100 km from Alicante, in the Valencian Community. On the edge of the Costa Blanca and at the foot of the Montgó mountain, the city offers a wide range of thrilling outdoor activities.

Dénia is a historical town which was once inhabited by the Romans and the Arabs. Dénia castle, which overlooks the city, was built in the 11th century and its walls surrounds the old town. You can as well visit many museums, churches and chapels by wandering through the neighbourhoods.

The city is located on the Costa Blanca and stretches over a 20 km coastline, with fine sandy beaches in the north, and rocky beaches in the south. You will be able to chill out and practice water sports like kayaking, stand up paddling, water skiing, surfing, kitesurfing, jet skiing, sailing, flyboarding and parasailing.

Try out scuba diving and snorkeling in the Marine Reserve of Cabo San Antonio. This protected area is home to a rich aquatic vegetation and an incredible fauna.

In southern Dénia, the Montgó Natural Park welcomes you for more outdoor activities. Quad or 4x4 excursions, mountain biking and hiking are among the amazing activities that you can do to explore the stunning landscapes of the park.

Dénia is a great spot to practice an unlimited range of outdoor activities and extreme sports.
