Practical information
For this tour, each snowmobile is shared between two, with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch.
For safety reasons, children under 13 years old will sit in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile. It is recommended that an adult also sits in the sled with smaller children.
Course of events
- Meet at the starting point in Levi 30 minutes in advance or pick-up from listed location
- Safety briefing and snowmobile driving lesson
- Receive Arctic gear and equipment
- The snowmobiling adventure begins!
- Drive through the snowy forest
- Arrive at a frozen lake
- Drill a hole in the ice and set up fishing equipment
- The ice fishing adventure begins!
- Break for a campfire meal and hot drinks
- Snowmobile back to the starting point
- Transfer back to pick-up point in Levi
Activity requirements
Snowmobile drivers must hold a valid driver's license (category B). Please bring the original document with you on the day of the activity.
Participants must be at least 140cm / 4'6" to sit on the sled as a passenger. Children who meet this height requirement can sit as a passenger when paying the adult price.

Please be ready for collection 60 minutes prior to the activity start time. The pick-up is not always at the reception of the hotel and may require you to walk a few minutes from the hotel. In addition, pick-up times may vary. Please check your emails after booking for further instructions.
In order to drive a snowmobile, a valid driver’s license (class B) is required. A provisional license or a picture of the driving license won’t be accepted. The driving license must be recognizable in English. If you do not bring your driving license you won’t be able to drive a snowmobile and no refund can be offered.
The snowmobile driver is responsible for any damages to the vehicle, with a maximum personal self-liability of 950€ per person per snowmobile in case of an accident. Additional insurance can be purchased on site for 15€, reducing self-liability to 150€. This insurance must be purchased before the start of the tour.

This trip will begin by meeting at the starting point in Levi (pick-up is available from specified locations upon booking). Your experienced guide will go through safety instructions and techniques for driving the snowmobile. Each snowmobile will be shared in pairs, with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch during the tour. This tour is beginner and family-friendly, children will travel in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile. Once everyone is prepared with their equipment, the adventure begins!
The guide will take you across the snowy fields of the Arctic forest to a frozen lake that is only reached by snowmobile. The Arctic forest trail has breathtaking surroundings where you can take beautiful pictures. Once you arrive at the frozen lake, the guide will show you how to drill a hole in the ice and the best techniques to catch a fish! Ice fishing offers a tranquil nature experience in the fresh air.
While you are waiting for a catch, the guide will make a bonfire to warm up and grill some sausages. Hot drinks will be served during the break. The guides will share great stories about the biggest fish catches and let you know about all the species of fish that can be captured in the area. After enjoying your meal, you will snowmobile back to the starting point in Levi.
