Your adventure begins in Tromsø, where you will meet your guides at the city's central bus station at least 15 minutes before your departure time, and embark on a 50-minute scenic ride to the Norwegian Travel cam n Breivikeidet. Marvel at the breathtaking snowy mountains of the Lyngen Alps and prepare for the main activity of the day as you relax in the comfortable vehicle that will transport you there.

Once at the camp, you will receive a thorough introduction to cross-country skiing and learn some basic skills and techniques to have a successful expedition, including equipment use and safety precautions. Once you're all set, you will head out and trek through the astonishing Lyngen Alps landscapes under the guidance of your experienced guide. Cross-country skiing is all about balance and technique, and you'll follow your expert instructor into the Norwegian wilderness, who will keep you safe and help you perfect your steps. You will ski along existing trails and create your own along the way as well!

After you've finished this introductory course to cross-country skiing in Breivikeidet from Tromsø, you will head back to the camp, where you will recharge and warm up by the campfire in a traditional lavvu, and enjoy a delicious cake, complemented by warm drinks. As we hadn't done cross country skiiing before, this experience was a great way to learn in a safe environment. I would imagine it would be quite boring to anyone that knew how to ski already as the pace of the skiing is restricted by the slowest person in the group.
