What are the activities to do in Martinique?
Martinique, a picture-perfect juxtaposition between fine white sandy beaches and rugged volcanic terrains
Extreme sports in transparent waters surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife you’d find nowhere else. Some may call it a slice of heaven, we call it Martinique. Once nicknamed The Island of Flowers, Martinique is a French island known for its gourmet food, mixed cultures and laid back, no stress attitude.
This dreamlike location coupled with glorious all year round sunshine (26 degrees on average), makes Martinique a luxurious retreat, far from the monotony of routine. The Martiniquais are known to be naturally very sports oriented, so it’s only fitting that they would take advantage of their organic environment by enjoying activities such as surfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, trekking, parasailing. The list is endless.
With the island’s waters firmly split between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, and the northern mountains contrasted by the southern white sand beaches, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The northern volcanic coast is by far the best area to go canyoning and freeriding, whereas the sumptuous southern beaches and bright blue waters are ideal for scuba diving and windsurfing.
Succumb to the charms of this magnificent island.
