When to visit Helsinki?

Helsinki is a year-round destination, with each season offering distinct outdoor experiences. Summer (June to August) is ideal for boat tours, kayaking, and sunset cruises, as the long daylight hours and mild temperatures create perfect conditions for exploring the archipelago and national parks. Autumn brings vibrant foliage, making hiking and foraging excursions in Liesjärvi and Nuuksio National Parks especially rewarding.

Winter (December to March) transforms Helsinki into a snowy wonderland, perfect for ice floating, ice skating, and winter hikes. The frozen landscapes offer unique adventures such as hovercraft rides and smoke sauna experiences. Spring (April to May) is a quieter time, with nature awakening and opportunities for early-season wildlife safaris and hiking. Whenever you choose to visit, Helsinki’s outdoor activities adapt to the rhythm of the seasons, ensuring memorable experiences throughout the year.

Was kind of relaxing to put on a survival suit, float in the ocean and not have a care in the world.

The activity allows visitors to learn about the Finnish forest environment. The activity of foraging for mushrooms is very interesting and informative. Visitors can cook food over a fire in the forest and experience the Finnish camping culture. It is highly recommended.

It was an amazing experience. We were lucky to be one of the first of the season to experience the RIB Boat Excursion. It was just myself and my Fiancée on the boat which made it extra special. The speed and trill of the journey was amazing, its hard to put it into words. Overall I would highly recommend the experience to anyone who is thinking of giving it a go.
