Established in Hendaye since 2003, the Arteka Ocean team invites visitors to explore the Atlantic coastline and its surroundings. With over 20 years of experience, this family-oriented centre shares its passion for the ocean through an authentic approach that combines rigorous safety, professionalism, and local friendliness.

The centre offers a wide range of water sports suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Thrill-seekers and explorers can choose from:

  • Sea kayaking to travel along the Basque coast;
  • Canoeing descents on the Bidassoa river;
  • Stand up paddling and Hawaiian canoeing for individual or group gliding;
  • Wave skiing to learn how to ride the waves.

Committed to preserving the marine ecosystem, the team consists of certified local guides who provide educational supervision in controlled formats. The nautical base offers all necessary comfort with on-site changing rooms and showers. All technical equipment (wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets) is provided and carefully checked, and a shuttle service is organised to facilitate logistics for river routes.
