Knysna Charters is a family-owned business based in Thesen Harbour Town, Knysna, founded in 2007, representing over 18 years of experience on the Garden Route. The company offers a wide range of guided outdoor activities across the Knysna Lagoon, toward the Knysna Heads, and through the indigenous Knysna forest. On the water, guided boat cruises equipped with provided life jackets allow you to explore the lagoon, marine channels, and local oyster culture, complemented by single or double kayak rentals and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs). On land, guided excursions are conducted on 300 cc ATV quad bikes or Monster Mountain Scooters, which are non-motorised, Swiss-designed all-terrain scooters built for forest descents. The team emphasizes small-group outings to ensure personalized guidance. A systematic safety briefing precedes every departure under the supervision of experienced local skippers and guides who perform rigorous pre-trip checks on all equipment.
