Specialising in low-impact water sports on the west coast of Mauritius, Lakaz Kayak offers an immersive experience in the heart of the local ecosystem. Based in Tamarin Park since 2019 and relaunched in 2025, they stand out for their eco-friendly approach. The Mauritian guides accompany visitors to share the history of their island and local insights, far from mass tourism.

The activities focus on preserved natural sites, offering a variety of landscapes between the river and the ocean:

• Sea kayaking excursions in Tamarin Bay.
• Stand up paddleboarding trips in the La Preneuse lagoon at Rivière Noire.
• Mangrove exploration and biodiversity spotting.

The experience is built on conviviality and safety. Groups are limited to 14 participants (7 double kayaks) to ensure close supervision. For groups over 10 people, 2 guides provide support, while a safety boat is present during trips into the bay to meet dolphins. The centre provides modern equipment, including comfortable seats, life jackets, a changing cabin, and a secure storage area under video surveillance.

Committed to protecting their environment, they integrate a strong ecological dimension into their tours. Participants are invited to get involved by planting mangroves or contributing to the "coral garden" project to preserve the reef. This generosity often leads to trips exceeding the scheduled duration to fully enjoy the Mauritian nature.
