La forêt ân'imée

Located in the Donon Massif, La Forêt Ân’imée is an association offering family-friendly outdoor activities alongside pack animals. The concept is simple: slow down, reconnect with nature, and share a relaxed, enjoyable experience on foot, moving at the animal’s pace.

The main activity centres around self-guided walks and hikes with a saddled donkey. Each outing is designed to suit all abilities, for both children and adults. From a one-hour stroll to a full day of hiking, everyone can tailor their route to their own preferences, starting from iconic natural sites in the Donon area, close to Lac de la Maix, the Hazelle Dolmen, or the Hauts-Champs Rock. For maximum comfort, the donkey is fully equipped with a pack saddle, panniers and lead ropes. La Forêt Ân’imée also provides an IGN map of the massif, a compass and a first-aid kit, allowing you to hike with complete peace of mind.

As a new option, pack-goating is now available, giving you the chance to set off on a walk accompanied by three large pack goats, at a location of your choice, for a fresh and original take on guided hiking!
