Horta with César is a local guiding business founded in 2026 on Faial Island, Azores, specialising in guided hiking. Its founder has worked directly with visitors to the archipelago since 2015. You explore the volcanic terrain and natural heritage of Faial, with hikes taking place around Horta, Caldeira do Faial, Capelinhos Volcano, and the Entre Montes area. Outings are conducted in small groups, with routes, pacing, and explanations systematically adapted to weather conditions, trail states, and participant ability. Prior to departure, trail and meteorological checks as well as a comprehensive safety briefing are provided for every participant. The guide supplies route planning, safety instructions, and full accompaniment throughout the hike, with meeting points situated directly near the activity sites. Optional private transport can also be arranged through a local transport partner upon request.
