We had a fantastic guide for the day, who was interesting, knowledgeable and very patient. As we were the only 2 on the excursion, we were able to go at our own pace and our guide never rushed us, making it a very relaxed, fun day. It felt like he was enjoying the day as much as us. It was my first time to drive a snowmobile but our guide was patient and gave me time to feel comfortable and then later took lots of photos and videos for us. Due to the snow conditions we were unable to travel by snowmobile the whole way but that worked in our favour. After plenty of fun and over 30km on the snowmobile, we returned to base, changed into fresh, dry overalls and travelled to the frozen lake by van. Drilling through the ice was fun but challenging and our wonderful guide did most of the work for us. We didn't catch anything but sitting over our little holes, sharing stories and hot drinks was everything we expected. Finally, a little further up the road, we walked ip a snowy hillside to a little hut, where our guide built a great fire and again, we enjoyed talking while cooking delicious sausages on sticks. The whole experience was excellent and so much more than we expected.

Our guide, Tome, is an amazing person, he thought us everything very well and gave us a lot of “arctic tips” so we could enjoy our experience in Lapland. He also took amazing pictures of us.
