About the activity

Departing from the Mont-Tremblant Activity Centre, a shuttle takes you to Nominingue, in the heart of the snow-covered forests of the Laurentians, where a pack of more than 60 Nordic dogs is waiting for you. As a sled driver or passenger, you set off on an approximately 1-hour ride over slightly hilly terrain with several bends, climbs and descents. Halfway through, a sheltered stop lets you enjoy a hot chocolate with maple cookies.

On site, a team of professional mushers welcomes you and trains you to drive the sled before departure. You help harness the dogs and, back at base, reward them with treats before visiting the kennels and enjoying a hot soup. The shuttle then takes you back to Mont-Tremblant.

Suitable from age 4, this excursion is ideal for families, couples and groups of friends, with no prior fitness level required. It runs from 19 December 2026 to 29 March 2027, every day except some Wednesdays. If you can get to Nominingue on your own, the ride is also available with an on-site meeting point.

Our family of four absolutely loved this experience. Despite the cold weather, this experience far exceeded our expectations. The driver picked us up in the pedestrian village and it took about 25 minutes to get there. Once there we had some time to get ready. As we walked out towards the dogs we could hear the barking and howling. The dogs were so excited. We got to help harness them and get them ready for the journey. My two teenage daughters were in the sled in front of us. They each got to drive the sleds for about 20 min each. We had a brief break midway for hot cocoa and cookies. At the end we got to see the puppies before we went inside for a complimentary bowl of soup.
