Sporty Canyon of La Vacca in Bavella, Corsica

The Vacca Canyon is where one of Corsica's most beautiful rivers, the Solenzara, has its source, flowing down to meet the sea at the village of the same name along the coast. The Vacca is a canyon with a spectacular, narrow gorge and a cathedral-like atmosphere, surrounded by a multitude of rocky spires. You will find a route made up of 2 long stretches between towering rock faces, in the magnificent natural setting characteristic of the Aiguilles de Bavella massif. A series of jumps and swimming sections, along with a 16-metre abseil, await you in the Vacca Canyon, a sport-level canyon that requires a good level of fitness as well as prior canyoning experience.

The Vacca Canyon makes for a thoroughly refreshing (water at approx. 15°C) and exhilarating half-day in the heart of the Aiguilles de Bavella massif, close to Zonza and Solenzara, and within reach of Porto-Vecchio (1 hour 15 minutes by road) and even Ajaccio (2 hours 15 minutes by road). With groups capped at 12 participants, you will benefit from attentive supervision throughout the adventure. Your guide, a state-qualified instructor, will provide all the equipment needed for the activity (wetsuit, helmet, harness, etc.) and accompany you at every stage of the canyon descent. They will advise you at each obstacle whilst keeping a close eye on the group's safety, ensuring a memorable experience in the Vacca Canyon.
