About the activity

The Purcaraccia Canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in Corsica. Located in the Aiguilles de Bavella, close to Solenzara, Zonza, and Lecci, you will discover crystal-clear green pools of breathtaking natural beauty, with water at approx. 15°C, perfect for swimming and jumping into. It is an outstanding outdoor destination for experiencing canyoning near Porto-Vecchio (1 hour 15 minutes by road), or even from Ajaccio (2 hours 15 minutes by road). The adventure is open from the age of 10 to those who can swim and are in good physical condition, as the route is quite demanding, combining a 1.5-hour mountain approach walk and a steady succession of obstacles over 3 hours inside the canyon.

The Purcaraccia Canyon descent features a fine mix of classic canyoning highlights: giant natural water slides, jumps of up to 8 metres (all bypassable by swimming or walking), and 2 impressive 45-metre abseils (compulsory), making it a well-rounded route in the Aiguilles de Bavella. It is undoubtedly one of Corsica's must-do canyons, whether you are going with family, friends, or as a couple. Accompanied by a professional instructor and in a small group of no more than 12 participants, you will tackle each obstacle safely whilst benefiting from expert guidance along the way.

We wanted do something active on the beautiful island and push ourselves a little, and we got exactly what we wanted! The reception by the organization was warm and kind, the hike (rather, climb) was beautiful and gave us a sunrise over the mountains and the guides were awesome! We had fun, exercise and adventure!

Grate diverse canyoning experience in a beautiful canyon. Climbing, abseiling, jumping, gliding of different heights and with different difficulty. Neem some basic fitness and no fear of heights.

Just a bit unorganised, providing a bit of food would also have been nice. We didn't get our bars or bottles of water.
