Push your limits in the Costa Rican jungle on the most extreme rafting section of the Sarapiqui River, followed by a delicious lunch!
- Small groups of maximum 6 participants for safety and coordination.

Course of events
Please allow approximately 7 hours for this activity.
- Start with a hotel pick-up in the La Fortuna area and drive toward the San Miguel gateway (approx. 1 hour).
- Meet your certified professional guides, receive your rafting equipment and get a safety briefing to learn paddling techniques for high-class rapids (30 min).
- Launch into the most extreme section of the Sarapiqui River for 2 hours of intense white water.
- Conquer iconic Class 4 rapids, including the famous "The Terminator" and "Dos Locos."
- Pause for a scenic break amidst the rainforest to enjoy fresh tropical fruit snacks.
- Change into dry clothes once the rafting session is complete (15 min)
- Refuel with a riverside lunch to recover your energy (1 hour).
- Return to La Fortuna in the comfort of an air-conditioned van.
- End of the activity.
Activity requirements
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Although knowing how to swim is not a requirement, it is highly recommend that participants know how to swim.

Once your booking has been confirmed, please contact the instructor directly to organize the meeting point and pick-up time. Transportation is included from zone 1 of La Fortuna. For zone 2, 3 and 4, there will be an extra charge.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people, or for people with heart problems, respiratory issues, with significant mobility issues or those who have recently undergone surgery or hip replacements.

Get ready for a soaking-wet adrenaline-inducing trip! One of Costa Rica's most exciting rafting trips can be found at the Sarapiqui River! The Sarapiqui River area is famous for its lush jungle scenery. As a matter of fact, as you paddle down the river sorting its many obstacles, you might come across monkeys, iguanas and other amazing Costa Rican wildlife.
After being briefed and equipped you'll hop on the raft and experience the thrill of the Sarapiqui river! Along the route, you'll face rolling rapids that with the help of your guide you'll avoid! Get ready to duck, dodge, paddle, and laugh as you make your way down the river!
About halfway down this segment of the river, you'll be able to enjoy a refreshing tropical fruit snack, relax with the rest of the group, go for a swim, or just contemplate the rushing waters around you!
The day will be wrapped up with a delicious traditional meal at the center's own restaurant The Red Eyed Frog right on the side of the river!
