This Discover Scuba Diving activity is your chance to get wet and experience what scuba diving is all about. Signing up for it is a great way to decide whether getting a scuba diving certification is right for you... Although there is no doubt that you will love it!
This is a try Scuba session, not a course. At the end of this session you will receive a SSI diploma certifying that you have tried scuba diving, but that does not qualify you to dive by yourself or rent equipment. This session will, however, count as a training dive if you decide to further enrol in the Open Water Diver Certification course.
Your instructor will be by your side at all times, both in the water and outside. Open Water has a very personal and individual approach to Discover Scuba Diving, meaning that you will never be part of large groups of participants. There are only small groups to ensure your maximum comfort and safety.
No prior experience needed nor expected to participate in this activity.
The diving site
The Split Open Water Diving Center is located in the Radisson Blu Resort. So if you are staying there, you have no excuses to not participate in this training. Actually you will dive in the Home Reef site in front of the Diving Center. A shallow bay with no currents, no waves, but with clear water and an abundant sea life. You will enjoy diving in the Adriatic Sea, among schools of fish, octopus, cuttle fish and others. The sea bed is sandy with small reefs from place to place.
Open Water uses high quality MARES equipment. The diving centre owns a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) of 7 metres.
In case of bad weather Open Water has other interesting things to do, from indoor pool to panoramic drives to national parks or visiting some traditional konoba for a good croatian lunch!
It is possible to have your pictures taken as well as videos of the experience.
You should be able to swim and be in good general health to participate in this activity.
