Experience an evening snowmobile safari in Levi beneath the awe-inspiring Northern Lights. Welcoming adventurers from ages 3 and up on this family-friendly excursion!
Levi is a popular ski resort destination located in northern Finland, situated within the Lapland region. The area features diverse landscapes, including snow-covered forests, swamps, and frozen lakes. Due to its proximity close to the Arctic Circle, it is also one of the best places in the world to witness the magical Northern Lights!
You will start at the meeting point in Levi (pick-up is available from listed locations upon booking). After meeting your experienced guide, you will be fully dressed and equipped to start the safari. The guide will teach you the basics of driving the snowmobile safely. Each snowmobile will be shared between two, with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch midway. Children will sit in a comfortable sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile.
Following the guide, you will set off into the evening light following the stars in the sky. You will be driving on the best routes in Levi with landscapes that are unforgettable and breathtaking. If you are lucky and catch a bright sky, you might also see the amazing Aurora Borealis! After driving for approximately 1 hour and admiring the night sky, you will return to the starting point and be transferred back to your pick-up point in Levi.
This enjoyable evening snowmobile excursion is a great way to experience the Arctic nature of Levi while catching the Northern Lights!
For this tour, each snowmobile is shared between two, with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch.
Course of events
- Meet at the starting point in Levi or pick-up from listed location
- Safety briefing and snowmobile driving lesson
- Receive Arctic gear and equipment
- The snowmobiling adventure begins!
- Drive through the snowy forest for approximately 1 hour
- Admire the Northern Lights
- Return to the starting point
- Transfer back to pick-up in Levi
Activity requirements
Snowmobile drivers must hold a valid driver's license (category B). Please bring the original document with you on the day of the activity.
Participants must be at least 140cm / 4'6" to sit on the sled as a passenger. Children who meet this height requirement can sit as a passenger when paying the adult price.
Please be advised that as the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, their presence can never be guaranteed.
For safety reasons, children under 13 years old will sit in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile. It is recommended that an adult also sits in the sled with smaller children.
