Would you like to attempt both dog sledding and snowmobiling in the arctic nature, far away from the city? Then, this visit is ideal for you. The combination of husky sledding and snowmobiling is the best for those who are looking for Lappish adventures. You will meet our lovely huskies, drive with them through the forest and then embark on an exciting snowmobile safari.
We will fire the visit by dressing up in warm winter equipment and getting a briefing on the safety of our husky safari. You will learn how to guide a husky sled and receive the necessary safety instructions. You will get your own sled with your husky team. Get ready to ride!!! The guides will be driving in front, in case you require any assistance. The huskies love to run and they will take you on an extraordinary experience through the wild. We will make a stop in the center, where you can take pictures. Our huskies are amicable, and they love to cuddle.
Typically two people share a sled, one is guiding, and one sitting on the sled. It is possible, to change the position at the middle of the track. Young children can sit along with an adult.
Our warm Kota with live fire will be waiting for you when you return to the kennel. Inside you can taste famous Finnish sausage (makkara) and get some warm juices.
Heated up and fortified by food, we will leave on our next experience – snowmobiling. Before we begin passing through the Lappish winter landscape, the guides will clarify all essential safety and driving directions.
On this visit, you can find more of Lapland's beauty and take extraordinary photographs of this colder time of year wonderland. We will make a couple of fast stops to take pictures.
Typically two people share a snowmobile, one is driving and one sitting behind the driver. It is possible, to change position at the middle of the track.
- Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- It is important for your safety as well as the dog’s safety that you understand the instructions. If you have any questions, do not be afraid to ask.
Special terms
- The tour might be cancelled due to bad weather conditions, for example, if there is no snow.
- The tour might be cancelled or rescheduled if there are less than 2 adult participants.
- The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 15 years old and hold a valid driving license – A1, T, A or B category.
- Winter clothes
- Pick-up and drop-off in Rovaniemi city centre
- Visit a husky farm
- Snacks: sausage, cookies, and hot juice
- 6 - 10km husky sled ride (40-60 min ride)
- Guiding in English or Finnish
- 1 hour snowmobile experience (30-40 minutes of snowmobile driving)
