Your adventure begins at one of the listed meeting points in Ylläs (please specify when booking). Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic transfer to the husky farm. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your expert guide/musher who will provide you and your group (a maximum of 15 participants) with winter gear, including thermal overalls, boots, wool socks, a hat, a scarf, and gloves. Next, you'll receive a safety briefing, followed by an introduction to dog sledding and dog sled driving techniques. Then, the fun starts. You'll meet your energetic team of huskies and set off into the snow-covered taiga forest, traversing the picturesque frozen marshes at high speed.
Get ready for an experience to remember as you feel the cold Arctic air and an adrenaline rush like none other! Halfway through the tour, you and the huskies will take a well-deserved break and have the opportunity to switch drivers. After the excursion, you'll be treated to a warm beverage and cookies around an open fire as your guide shares entertaining facts about the huskies and their daily lives. Once you've said goodbye to your furry friends, you'll board the transfer to the original departure point in Ylläs with lifelong memories of your time in Finnish Lapland!

Course of events
* Participants can choose between listed pick-up locations or meet at the Hotel Ylläsrinne, please specify when booking
- Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to the departure time
- Transfer
- Meet your experienced guide/musher
- Put on winter gear (thermal overalls, boots, wool socks, hat, scarf, and gloves)
- Safety briefing and introduction to dog sledding
- The adventure begins!
- Break (switch drivers)
- Return to the husky farm
- Warm drinks and biscuits around an open fire
- Return to the original departure point in Ylläs
Activity requirements
Please note that a minimum of 2 participants (2 adults) is required in order to run this activity.
In addition, this excursion features 2 people per husky team, one adult as a driver and one adult as a passenger. Halfway through the tour, adults can switch drivers. Children up to 12 years are always seated as passengers in the sleigh.
Special terms
Parents with small children, please consider if your child is able to sit in a sleigh for about 1 hour in winter conditions. Kindly note, that there are no shortcuts from the forest back to the husky farm.
