Take in the majesty of the Northern Lights on this 2.5-hour guided excursion in Ylläs, which includes a reindeer sleigh ride, snacks, and a campfire inside a Lappish teepee!
Located in Finnish Lapland, within the Arctic Circle, the region of Ylläs is known for its stunning wilderness and diverse array of outdoor activities, especially during the winter months. In addition, it is one of the best places to take in the dancing colours of the Northern Lights.
Your adventure begins after being picked up at one of the listed pick-up points or meeting at the Hotel Ylläsrinne. You and your group (a maximum of 20 participants) will be greeted by your experienced guide, then put on your winter gear, which includes thermal overalls, boots, wool socks, a hat, a scarf, and gloves. After the scenic drive to a reindeer farm, the sky will bathed in a magical twilight with the snow reflecting the light. Once you've met the adorable reindeer, you'll embark upon a 45-minute sleigh ride through the snowy landscape.
After you've said goodbye to your four-legged friend, you will head to a Lappish teepee, where you'll listen to fascinating stories about Finland and the Northern Lights while enjoying sausages, pancakes, and warm drinks. The perfect way to end an enchanting evening!
