Experience the magic of the Northern Lights while snowshoeing at twilight in the Arctic wilderness of Ylläs on this 2.5-hour excursion!
Situated in the Arctic Circle, Ylläs is located in northern Finland, Finnish Lapland. This region is renowned for its incredible natural landscapes and is one of the best places in the world to witness the awe-inspiring natural phenomenon of the Northern Lights. What better way to take in the dancing colours of the Aurora Borealis than by snowshoeing at twilight? This excursion in Ylläs promises a relaxing and immersive experience like none other in the wilds of Finland.
Whether you choose to meet onsite or be picked up from the designated locations, your adventure begins after meeting your knowledgeable guide. To protect yourself from the subzero temperatures, you'll wear thermal overalls, boots, wool socks, a hat, a scarf, and gloves, which will keep you warm during the 4 km (2.4 miles) of snowshoeing. Once you and your group (a maximum of 20 participants) have received a safety briefing as well as an introduction to snowshoeing and snowshoeing techniques, the fun starts!
You'll set out in the snowcapped landscape of Ylläs at twilight in search of the Northern Lights. Don't forget your camera, the scenic panorama and breathtaking skies of northern Finland offer amazing photo opportunities. In addition, you'll also be treated to a steaming cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows around a cosy campfire. The perfect way to end an enchanting evening in Finnish Lapland!

Course of events

Activity requirements
Please be advised that this activity is not recommended for younger children. However, children are welcome to join this activity provided that they can walk the distance with snowshoes. If they have difficulty, parents or guardians should be able to carry the child.
In addition, a minimum of 2 participants is required in order to run this tour.
