Paragliding Flight above the Dune du Pilat, near Arcachon

Course of events

- After parking at the Petit Nice beach car park (be careful not to park at the campsite of the same name) 20 minutes before the meeting time, go past the first aid post and down to the beach, then head north (to the right) and walk (with the ocean on your left and the dune on your right) for about 10 minutes to the first blockhouse

- Meeting with the team (if no one is present, a radio is available at the green and white "Niviuk" flag to communicate with the monitors, who are probably still in the air)

- Short walk to the best take-off point depending on the day's wind conditions

- Briefing on the flight schedule and equipment set-up

- Take off for a 10-minute paragliding flight suiting you (calm flight, acrobatics, or even a short introduction to piloting)

- Landing in the sand, de-equipping and receiving the SD card with photos and video of your flight to complete the activity

Maximum weight: 264 lbs (120 kg)

A written parental authorisation is required for minors to take part in this activity without an accompanying adult.

Plan to spend at least 2 hours on site: the wind doesn't always arrive at the time forecast by the weather models and sometimes you have to wait.

This activity is not accessible to pregnant people or people with serious medical conditions that could lead to serious after-effects in the event of even a slight impact.
