The adventure begins with a warm introduction to the team of Siberian huskies, which are bred, trained and well looked after on site all year round. After a comprehensive safety briefing given by a state-qualified professional musher with over 20 years’ experience, you settle comfortably into the sledge. The team sets off through the pine forests and the vast, unspoilt expanses of the valley. Throughout the dog sledding excursion in the Val d’Azun, the musher will comment on the landscape and explain how he communicates with his dogs. Even when there is no snow, the magic remains intact thanks to the use of a wheeled sledge or suspended kart, perfectly suited to the dirt tracks of the Pyrenean mountains.

This dog-sledding trip in the Hautes-Pyrénées is entirely suitable for families and children aged 2 and over, with no physical effort required. Each sledge is limited to a small group of 1 to 3 participants to ensure an intimate, friendly experience that respects the animals’ welfare. All the necessary equipment is provided by the centre. All you need to bring is warm, waterproof winter clothing suitable for mountain weather, along with closed-toe walking boots.
