Snowshoeing in Les Angles, Pyrénées-Orientales

Course of events

- Meeting with the guide at the meeting point given to you the day before at the latest (maximum 2 km from Les Angles resort)

- Put on your equipment and get to grips with your snowshoes

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions

- Departure for a 2-hour snowshoe hike (loop on slightly undulating terrain) with a short break for grilled marshmallows halfway along the route

- Arrival at the starting point, return of equipment and end of the activity

Activity requirements

⚠️ A vehicle may be required to get to the starting point of the activity, which is no more than 2 km from Les Angles resort.

A minimum number of 4 participants is required for this activity to take place.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Course of events

- Distribution of equipment (snowshoes and poles)

- Journey to the starting point of the walk (maximum 2 km from Les Angles resort): transfer by minibus, car pool, free shuttle bus or cable car (see special conditions)

- Briefing on the activity, how to use your snowshoes and safety instructions

- Departure for a 2.5-hour snowshoe hike off the marked trails and ski runs (3 to 4 km loop with 100 to 150 metres of ascent), punctuated by a few breaks with commentary by the guide

- Arrival at the starting point, return of equipment and journey back to Les Angles

⚠️ A vehicle may be required to get to the starting point of the activity, which is no more than 2 km from Les Angles resort.

You must not have any medical contraindications to hiking at altitudes between 1,500 and 2,400 metres.

A minimum number of 4 participants is required for this activity to take place.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

- Journey to the starting point of the snowshoe hike: cable car ride to an altitude of 2,100 metres (you will need your ski pass or a pedestrian pass for 5€ per person - payment on site by cash or cheque)

- Briefing on the activity, how to use your snowshoes and safety instructions

- Departure for a 2.5-hour snowshoe hike in the heights of the resort, off the marked runs and ski slopes, with a few breaks commented on by the guide

- End of the hike, return of snowshoes and poles, safety briefing for the Snake Gliss and installation on board the sledges

- 5 km descent on the Snake Gliss

- Return of equipment and end of activity

- End of the walk, return of equipment and return journey to Les Angles

- Departure for a 6-hour snowshoe hike (loop with 250 metres of ascent) punctuated by a few breaks commented on by the guide, as well as a lunch break at the Col del Torn refuge: on the menu, seasonal vegetable soup or dessert + a choice of Catalan grills (sausage, rouste, boudin) cooked over a wood fire and Capcir potatoes with cheese, wine and coffee included (20€ per person to be paid in cash or by cheque at the refuge)

- Arrival at the starting point, return of equipment and return journey to Les Angles
