Learn to fly a paraglider with this 3 to 5-day introductory course in Samoëns in the heart of the Alps of Haute-Savoie!
Pégase Air Samoëns is a paragliding school since 1973. With the expertise of its instructors, you will learn to paraglide quickly and safely.
What are the objectives of this paragliding training?
- Be able to perform one or more flights alone with radio assistance in calm aerological conditions
- Manage take-off, maneuver its pilot's wing, harness, and controls
- Keep a flight plan
- Make an approach and a landing
- Respect the rules of use of the sites, manage one's mind.
The school offers you an individualized progression based on school slope, pedagogical two-seater and theoretical courses allowing you to serenely access your first big flight alone.
The course is divided into 2 sessions:
- A morning session from 3 to 4 hours (from 9 am to 1 pm) on the training slopes,
- An afternoon session of 2 hours in the classroom or school slope.
The first 3 sessions are dedicated to the discovery of the equipment, safety, installation, handling of the wing on the ground, learning of the flight, turns on the ground and knowing how to stop. Gradually, you perform your first small flights by going up on the slope, then your first landings.
From the 3rd day (the 5th session), you make your first flight at a 1000 m. of altitude difference, with radio assistance or educational tandem.
The theoretical explanations are done progressively during the week.
