A 30-minute introductory session to diving with an underwater scooter.
- Each underwater scooter can carry two people (a driver and a passenger).
- As your upper body is enclosed in an air-filled cabin, you can talk freely and share the moment with a family member or friend
- Accompanied by a diving guide
Course of events
- Pick-up from your hotel in Bora Bora (the island and the motu hotels) or from the main jetty at Vaitape; otherwise, please go directly to the Bora Ocean Adventures centre
- Boat trip to the jetty where the underwater scooters are kept (15 to 30 minutes)
- A briefing on the course of the activity and safety instructions, followed by boarding the underwater scooters
- A dive with a diving instructor for 30 minutes, to a depth of up to 3 metres
- Return to the jetty and disembark
- Board the boat and return to your accommodation/the main jetty in Vaitape/the diving centre
Activity requirements
Parental consent is required for minors taking part in the activity.
You don't need to be able to swim to take part in this activity.
Special terms
If you would like to arrange a pick-up, please check that your hotel (on the main island of Bora Bora or on the motus) has a jetty AND contact Bora Ocean Adventures once your booking has been confirmed to organise the pick-up.
Suitable for children aged 6 and over, but you must be at least 16 to drive.
This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. People with reduced mobility may only take part in private sessions: please contact the centre directly to check whether this is possible.
A mandatory 12-hour waiting period before taking a flight.
If you wish, you can purchase photos and videos of your activity on the spot for an additional charge (this option is not guaranteed on every outing).
If you would like to take part in the activity as a companion on board the boat, without diving on an underwater scooter, this is only possible on a private trip, but it is not 100 per cent guaranteed: please contact the centre directly to see if this is possible.
