With its lagoon of turquoise waters hovering around 27°C all year round, Tahiti is an exceptional place for snorkelling in French Polynesia. Although other Polynesian lagoons are far more famous, the lagoon on the largest island in the Society archipelago is no exception, offering conditions that are just as ideal as any other for swimming and encountering the local underwater flora and fauna. With its calm waters and excellent underwater visibility, you will have no trouble admiring the life that flourishes beneath the surface: tropical fish (surgeonfish, clownfish, parrotfish, etc.), stingrays, coral, blacktip sharks, turtles, etc., all the species typical of Polynesian lagoons!
And to make the most of this snorkelling excursion in Tahiti's lagoon, you will be accompanied by a certified guide who will get into the water with you. For around 1.5 hours, they will show you where to look underwater to see as much as possible and explain the local underwater life. You will also be given leaflets describing the fish and coral. Finally, back on board the boat, you will share a convivial moment with your small group of no more than 6 participants over a well-deserved snack. This will be the perfect time to debrief your experience and talk more with your enthusiastic guide!
Accessible even to young children from the age of 3, provided they can swim, this guided snorkelling excursion in Tahiti is not to be missed if you want to discover the island's underwater environment. Thanks to the limited number of participants, you will enjoy an intimate adventure with personalised supervision and total safety!
