Departing from Marina Taina in Puna'auia, this whale-watching excursion in Tahiti is an experience not to be missed during the whale season in Polynesia. Accompanied by specialist naturalist guides, this outing not only allows you to admire these superb cetaceans during their mating and calving season, but also to learn more about them from the crew's explanations. In all, almost 4 hours on a small boat with a maximum of 6 participants are in store for you, a great half-day full of discoveries about whales in Tahiti!
You will board a spacious and comfortable semi-rigid boat, and set off in search of cetaceans in areas that are less frequented for greater tranquillity. A hydrophone on board will detect the songs of the males, which you can listen to if you get the chance! Once you have found a humpback whale, you will enter an observation phase with commentary from your guides to ensure a successful and respectful approach to the animal, at a minimum distance of 100 metres. And if conditions allow (weather and whale behaviour), you will have the pleasure of getting into the water with one of the guides for an observation phase directly underwater, at the correct distance from the animal for your safety and its well-being. Please note that only 6 participants will be able to enjoy this snorkelling experience, if it takes place.
Whale watching in Tahiti is one of the most incredible experiences to be had in French Polynesia, so don't miss out on this excursion in the company of naturalist guides who will be there to give you all the information you need to understand these wonderful animals! And, who knows, you might even come across dolphins or sea turtles, or even a whale calf with its mother?
