Corfu is a beautiful Greek island located in the Ionian Sea. It is known for its stunning landscapes, with charming villages, sandy beaches, and lush olive groves. On this diving course, you'll discover the scenic coastal area of Kontokali Bay on the eastern coast of Corfu.

The Open Water Diver course takes place over 4 days. No previous scuba diving experience is required to take part. You'll start by meeting the certified instructor at the dive centre in Kontokali Bay. They will provide all of the scuba diving equipment (including a mask, fins, a snorkel, a tank, a buoyancy compensator, a regulator, and a wet suit) and the SSI training materials.

SSI Open Water Course is the key to a thrilling diving experience all over the world. The philosophy of the SSI Open Water Dive Course is to create confident divers who can ensure their safety. You will obtain all the necessary wisdom for your dives, the attitude to dive safely, the best training, and life-rewarding experiences.

The programme will start with theory, where you'll learn about the history of scuba diving, the equipment and its use, and diving procedures. Then, you'll move on to the practical skills! Throughout the 4-day course, you'll complete 8 open water dives with the instructor in a variety of diving spots. Kontokali Bay is home to warm, crystal-clear waters with great visibility - perfect conditions for scuba diving!

You will be diving among reefs, rocks, walls, gorges, small caverns and arches. While diving, you'll learn survival, buoyancy, and propulsion skills in a confined water setting. At the end of the course, you will receive your Open Water Diver certificate, allowing you to dive at a maximum depth of 18 metres (59 feet) anywhere in the world!
