This guided tour takes you on an adventure to some of the best viewpoints and landmarks around Mykonos Island in a comfortable Jeep. Welcoming participants of all ages on this family-friendly excursion!

Mykonos is a picturesque Greek island situated in the Cyclades archipelago in the Aegean Sea. The island is renowned for its charming villages, beautiful beaches and stunning architecture. Mykonos also holds a lot of historical significance, with a rich cultural heritage and landmarks dating back centuries. On this tour, you’ll explore some of the famous sites in Mykonos!

The adventure begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Mykonos, or you can meet the experienced guide directly at the port of Mykonos. Everyone is welcome on this tour, the perfect day out for groups of friends or family! You’ll get comfortable inside the large Jeep and the guide will set off driving along the scenic route. The first stop on the tour is Armenistis Lighthouse, situated on the northern tip of Mykonos.

The lighthouse was a very important landmark in the 19th century, guiding ships safely past the island’s rugged coastline. The cylindrical tower stands tall against the backdrop of the sea, making it a picturesque sight and a popular subject for photographers. After admiring the panoramic view, you’ll continue driving to the Marathi Dam, which was built in 1993 in order to supply the island with water as well as for irrigation purposes. Next, you’ll drive past the airport of Mykonos, with a fantastic view of the runway.

The guide will then drive to the most typical agricultural parts of the island, a completely different side of the island. You’ll see the areas inhabited mostly by local people, with numerous small chapels. The next stops on the tour are two popular beaches, Kalo Livadi and Kalafatis. After enjoying the sea breeze on the beautiful sandy beaches, you’ll carry on driving to the square of Ano Mera, one of the most traditional villages in Mykonos.

The Panagia Tourliani Monastery is situated in the heart of the Ano Mera village, a significant religious and cultural landmark. The monastery was founded in the 16th century and features typical Cycladic style architecture, featuring whitewashed walls, blue-domed chapels, and traditional stone construction. There is time for an optional visit inside the monastery. From here you’ll walk for 5 minutes to the Mykonian Farm, a traditional farm in the village. The farmer will take you on a tour, guiding you step by step through the vineyard and grape crusher process and its wines, and visiting a vegetable garden, a beautiful private chapel, and a traditional wooden oven. You will be able to play and pet the animals on the farm, including cows, donkeys, sheep and goats.

An optional lunch will be available to purchase at the farm. You can choose from a light snack (salad with sliced tomato, feta cheese with oregano, black olives, tzatziki and spinach, bread and water), a light lunch (stuffed tomato with rice, stuffed vine leaves with rice, spinach pie, cheese pie and salad, bread, water, yoghurt and wine), or a full lunch, including an appetizer (spinach pie, cheese pie and tzatziki with paprika), a Greek salad, a main dish (traditional soutzoukakia with tomato sauce and yellow rice), a dessert (yoghurt with cherries) and unlimited white wine, bread and water.

After the farm visit and delicious optional lunch, you’ll drive to the final stop on the tour, Mykonos town. The guide will take you to a magnificent panoramic viewpoint, where you can capture amazing photos of the ports and the town. You will have an amazing view of the white-washed buildings of Mykonos and the crystal-clear sea in the distance. The guide will then transfer you back to your accommodation or to the starting point at the port of Mykonos.
