Whether you are staying in Mykonos, the neighbouring Tinos or arriving by cruise ship, this sailing yacht cruise is the definitive way to experience the Aegean. In a single day, you will explore the islands of Delos and Rhenia —two of Greece's most sacred and historic sites— making it the undisputed highlight of any vacation itinerary.
After you reach the embarkation point and meet the crew at the sailing yacht (pick-up transfer service is optional and available upon your request, after booking), one of the cruise representatives and crew will greet you and give you an overview of the cruise itinerary and a safety briefing.
The boat will lift the anchors from Mykonos and sail across the Aegean Sea toward the uninhabited islet of Rhenia, also known as "Big Delos". Along the way, you may also spot - just 10 nautical miles away - the Island of Tinos, adding to the stunning Cycladic scenery. After approximately 1 hour sailing, you will reach Rhenia, which is accessible only via yacht, making it a small, secluded paradise compared to the crowded beaches of Mykonos. The refreshing turquoise salty waters are inviting you for a relaxing swim, entering the clear sea by the yacht's swimming ladder (pier facilities or tendering ashore are not available). Snorkelling gear is available on board for free use at your convenience.
On board, the early dinner is ready. It is either a specially made Italian pasta with Greek-flavoured dressing instantly cooked on board, and Greek salad or a Mediterranean-style buffet, and juicy seasonal fruits. A selection of complimentary house wine, beers and soft drinks is also offered. After spending approximately 2 hours in the untouched islet of Rhenia, the next stop is the UNESCO-listed Island of Delos, one of the most important and sacred archaeological sites in Greek history. Immerse yourself in a self-guided Virtual Tour with the 3D web app on your own device, crafted by archaeologists and available in 9 audio languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Russian, Portuguese).
Delos island was a major commercial and religious centre of the Mediterranean with about 30.000 inhabitants between 2.500 and 69 BC. At your disposal about 1 hour to explore leisurely - with the 3D Web App at your preferred language - the main remarkable monuments and impressive mosaics of Delos as they were in antiquity, such as the Terrace of the Lions, the House of Dionysus and Trident, the Ancient Theatre and the Sanctuary of Apollo. Then, you will be ready to sail back to Mykonos by watching the breathtaking landscape of yellow, orange and red colours while the sun goes down in the very blue Aegean Sea.
You will say goodbye in the Greek way with a farewell shot drink toast, and returning home full of euphoria.
